Library Page
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Library Page to assist with the organization and maintenance of library materials. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are interested in learning more about how a library works and enjoy working in a structured environment. The Library Page plays an important role in ensuring that our collections are accessible and well-organized for our patrons. This position pays $15.50 per hour with 4 scheduled hours a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Shelving: Accurately shelve books, media, periodicals, and other materials in their proper locations.
- Shelf Maintenance: Regularly check shelves for proper order, straightening and shifting materials as needed.
- Material Handling: Retrieve and process returned materials, ensuring they are ready for re-shelving.
- Environmental Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and orderly library environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or currently enrolled in high school. Minimum 16 years of age.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent organizational skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry books and other materials (up to 25 lbs), bend down, reach up, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
