The library building is open to the public for limited services. You can come to the library to browse our collections, check out items, and use a computer. Curbside pickup will still be available if you prefer to get your library materials that way.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • A mask is strictly required to enter the building, and must be worn properly at all times while you’re inside.
  • While browsing our collections, we encourage you to limit your time inside to 30 minutes or less, and to limit your contact with members of the library’s staff. Grab your items and go!
  • No more than 20 people are permitted inside at a time.
  • Computers are available for use by appointment by anyone with a MAIN library card. Call the library to schedule at (973) 377-2694. Limit one 45 minute appointment per user per day.
  • Computer appointments can be made up to 1 day ahead.
  • Printing, copying, and faxing must be done by a staff member
  • Magazines are available by request and must be checked out to read at home.
  • We are not collecting library fines at this time. The library is fine free through December 31, 2020.
  • Book returns can only be made through the book depository near the entrance to the building. We cannot take them at the circulation desk.
  • We are not accepting book donations.

Instructions for Curbside Pickup:

  1. Place holds in the catalog or by contacting the library.
  2. Wait for a notice that you have items ready for pickup.
  3. Call the library with your library card number when you arrive to pick up your items.
  4. Retrieve your items from a assigned pickup point.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • We require that you wear a mask and practice social distancing when outside the library.
  • Use the book drop located near the front door for returns. The drive-up book drop remains closed.
  • Our staff will be wearing masks. We ask that you do not approach them while using any library services.
  • There is now an interim delivery service operating within MAIN. Therefore, you can now place holds for pickup at any MAIN library and return items at any MAIN library.
  • Since the statewide book delivery service remains temporarily suspended, you can not borrow Inter-library Loan items from outside of MAIN at this time.
  • Most MAIN libraries are operating with alternative schedules and services. You can check the opening status of the MAIN libraries here.
  • We are working hard to make sure we have the books that Florham Park readers want! Click here to submit a form to recommend a title or receive reading suggestions.
  • Please call the library at 973-377-2694 for any assistance.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Returns are accepted using the book depository at the front of the building near the entrance.
  • The drive-up book drop in the parking lot and inside book drop will remain closed until further notice.
  • Items that are returned will not be checked in for at least 7 days after being deposited in the book drop so they will appear on your card for an extra week. The check in process is back-dated to the day you put the items in the book drop and you will not be fined.
  • We encourage you to wear a mask and practice social distancing while on the library property. Please stay at least 6 feet away from other library users and staff at all times.
  • If the book depository feels full, do not jam your items in there! Call us at (973) 377-2694 and we’ll make room so that you can deposit items without damaging them.

  • Newspapers are not accessible, but we will happily print or copy articles for you to take home upon request.
  • Programs, tutoring, meetings, and independent study are not permitted inside.
  • The statewide book delivery service remains suspended, preventing the borrowing of materials outside of MAIN.
