Week 1: July 6 – 10

 

Maker Monday – Patriotic Turtle Craft

Sign up each Monday to do a fun, summer themed craft. Crafts are intended for ages 3 and up. Ms. Kate will contact all registrants with instructions for how to pick up your kit following the Library’s curbside procedures. *Limited to 30 children.*

Teen Tuesday – Sew Your Own Mask with Ms. Ellen @ 5:30pm

Ms. Ellen is back to teach us how to make our own masks using everyday household items.  This class will take place via Zoom and is open to participants entering Grades 5 – 12.

Wacky Wednesday – ScienceTellers Presents Dragons! @ 2:30pm (Link Posted)

Join us for this pre-recorded, interactive science show from the ScienceTellers! A long time ago in a faraway world, two brave villagers go on a daring journey to release the dragons and save the kingdom from the Evil Ice Sorceress. Family Friday – Family Game Night!

Teen Tuesday – Snack and Paint @ 4:00pm

Artists entering Grades 5-12 are invited to join us for a step-by-step painting tutorial via Zoom.  Painting supplies will be provided, snacks are up to you!  Supply pickup will be coordinated by Ms. Kate following the Library’s curbside pickup procedures. *Limited to 10 participants.*

Wacky Wednesday – Eyes of the Wild @ 2:30pm

Our friends at Eyes of the Wild will be calling in with some furry friends to tell us the story of each animal! This will be a LIVE virtual show via Zoom. A recording of the show will be available for one week following the live event.

Thursday Tunes – Music & Movement with Miss Jolie @ 11:00am

Our littlest patrons are invited to join us for a LIVE music class with Miss Jolie! This will be a LIVE, virtual show via Zoom. A recording of the show will be available for one week following the live event.

Family Friday – Family Fort Night

It’s fort night for the whole family.  Use the couch cushions, bed sheets, pop up tents, whatever you have to build a fabulous space for all.  Share your creations on our social media with the hashtag #fpplfamiliesrock

Compete against your friends in this online Harry Potter themed escape room created by Sydney Krawiec, Youth Services Librarian at Peters Township Public Library in McMurray, PA.

Wacky Wednesday – Oceans Rock @ 2:30pm

Learn all about our oceans, the creatures that live there, and how you can help protect them during this interactive presentation! Best for ages 5 and up.  Co-sponsored by the Florham Park Day Camp. This will be a LIVE virtual show via Zoom. A recording of the show will be available for one week following the live event.

Ms. Ellen is back to teach us how to make our own summer tote bag out of a bandana.  This class will take place via Zoom and is open to participants entering Grades 5 – 12.

Wacky Wednesday – Pizza Party with Shop Rite @ 2:30pm

Join us for an afternoon pizza party!  With ingredient boxes provided by ShopRite, Ms. Monica the dietitian from the Greater Morristown ShopRite will show us how to make our very our pizza masterpieces.  *Limited to 15 families.* This will be a LIVE virtual program via Zoom. Pickup of ingredient boxes by registrants will be coordinated by a staff member via the Library’s curbside pickup procedures. A recording of the show will be available for one week following the live event.

Attention all dancers! Join us for this wild and crazy concert from Turtle Dance Music!  This pre-recorded show will be posted to our YouTube page for you to enjoy anytime you’d like with the whole family. YouTube Concert Link will be shared on the day of the event!

Wacky Wednesday – Cinderella @ 2:30pm (Link posted)

Join us for this pre-recorded performance of Cinderella by Kit’s Interactive Theater! The story begins on Cinderella’s wedding day.  She and her Fairy Godmother realize they must solve a riddle before Cinderella can marry the Prince.  So off to Storyland they journey to find the answer.  While Cinderella visits with her friend, Sleeping Beauty, Fairy Godmother ventures forth to meet a variety of pixies and fairy tale characters like Little Red Riding Hood, Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Jack from The House that Jack Built.  Each encounter brings elegant dancing, a chorus of song and theatrical frolics in addition to clues to their puzzle.    At the end of Fairy Godmother’s quest, the students help solve the riddle.  Cinderella, (who incidentally has just finished graduate school) may now marry the prince.

A prop list will be provided for all viewers who would like to participate in the show from their living rooms! Video access will be shared with all registrants on the day of the event and access will be available until August 12th.
