Summer 2023 – “All Together Now”
Every summer the Library offers an incentive program to reward our youngest patrons just for reading! Utilizing the yearly national theme we have different programs encompassing Early Literacy, Elementary, Tween/Teen, and Adult readers.
- Early Literacy – Readers complete four literacy-based activities each week to earn a prize.
- Elementary (K-5th) and Tween/Teen (6th-12th) – Readers keep track of the number of days they read. For every seven days read, bring your map to the library to earn a prize and a raffle ticket toward one of three Grand Prizes.
- Adult – Pick up a scratch-off reading challenge at the circulation desk. Read a book that fits the criteria on your ticket, and leave us a review of the book you read on the back. Your scratch off doubles as a raffle ticket to win a prize!
The Summer Reading program helps prevent the “summer slide,” encourages reading with family and friends, builds literacy skills, and provides a fun incentive for kids to keep reading all summer.
Registration will open on Tuesday, June 20th! We hope you’ll join us for our Touch a Truck and Kick-Off program that day from 3:30pm-5:30pm. Families are welcome!
